White River Clean Up

Another Successful White River Clean Up

We had close 50 volunteers!!! The volunteers were a wide range of ages, members of OUR community and local businesses!

Volunteers were able to almost fill a 30 yard dumpster. There were many tires that were loaded and hauled away from the White River. All this work was completed in just 3 hours.

Because of the work of the volunteers and local businesses that helped the efforts our White River is cleaner in Morgan County and we created less impact down stream.

Local businesses that were part of our event:

Big O’ Tires – Mooresville – they took all the tires to dispose of properly. This business is a big supporter of the White River Clean Up!!!

Jackson Junk – this business helps haul of debris and junk from the Old Town Waverly Boat Ramp! They have supported our efforts for 3 years in a row. The partnership is grateful for being able to work with this business.

Peine Engineering Company – Several folks from Peine Engineering Co. showed up to help. They were able to provide a truck, trailer, and side by side to haul tires and bags of trash from the banks of the river to the dumpster.

Every volunteer made a HUGE impact on the White River! We are so proud at how the community came together and made it a BIG success!
